Six countries, several languages, and a lot of people not at a desk

Daimler Truck has around 40,000 employees across six countries. A single programme has to work for an engineer in Stuttgart, a plant team in another country and a sales organisation somewhere else again, in their own language, often outside normal office hours.

Copilot was rolled out and usage was low. It was not zero, which is the harder problem. There was a quiet base of enthusiasts and a large majority who had opened it once. That majority is the group that decides whether an AI programme was worth the money.
